Published on  Updated on

As of December 20th, 2022 Canada’s Single-Use Plastic Ban is in effect.

Keep reading to learn what this means for you and the products you buy and how Champion Products is making sure you have the supplies you need.

Canada single-use ban is in effect for the manufacturing and import of:

  • All polystyrene foam containers, cups, plates and bowls.
  • Black plastic containers, cups, plates and bowls, any material.
  • Black plastic cup lids
  • Single-use plastic shopping bags.
  • Single-use plastic straws and stir sticks.
  • Single-use plastic cutlery.

As it is stated in the new regulations, until December 20th, 2023 (next year), these items can still be sold and used as normal. (source: canada.ca)

This means is that without new manufacturing and importing of these items stock will eventually run out. While supplies last you will still be able to order these items from Champion Products.
